The ASC sponsors two conferences per year, one in the Spring and the other in the Fall. This is a great way to meet with other archaeologists, professional and avocational, from around Connecticut and to see and hear what is going on in Connecticut archaeology. Occasionally we partner with the Massachusetts Archaeology Society for a joint conference.
The Spring Conference generally consists of registration with coffee & donuts, several morning speakers, a lunch break, and then a guided site tour followed by a wine & cheese reception (when allowed).
The Fall Conference/Archaeology Fair takes place in October which is Archaeology Month. The Archaeology Fair is co-sponsored with the Friends of the Office of State Archaeology (FOSA). Archaeology groups in Connecticut set up tables with information and artifacts. There are speakers throughout the day and activities for kids.
The Spring Conference and Fall Conference/Archaeology Fair are held at different Connecticut locations each year.
